Everyone loves those nice warm weather days were you can get away with going for a nice run outside without feeling like you are going to freeze to death. But sadly those times have come to an end. I learned this the other night when i went for a run with my husband and I felt like my poor nose was going to fall off. Now I feel the winter is the most important time to get up and move around because it is so easy to become a couch potato. and with a bunch of major food holidays back to back it is almost impossible to not fall behind. So you can either bundle up and fight back against the cold or take your workout inside.
So I have spent most of my childhood either on a soccer field, in a dojo, or running around outside doing random things, but the single most important thing to remember, is to stretch! What got me thinking about this tonight was when sitting at karate and watching the rest of my class stretch, you can really see those people taking it seriously and you can see those who are just going with the flow. I can't help but think that one day that person is really going to hurt themselves. It is always important to remember to stretch before and after your workouts.
